I have been searching the interwebz for days now looking for a matte black background for my 55gallon(48") and have had no luck. Painting is out of the question due to the tank being set up already. Wondering what your guys solutions/ideas are for this.

Thanks a bunch ahead of time.

Since they are not "stuck" to the glass like conventional aquarium backgrounds, would it still look the same?

I've done a few things with a tank that was already set up. I've used double sided tape and black cloth, and I've also painted the back when it was already set up. You can use a small foam roller on a long handle and go that way, or just do it one coat at a time when you do your water changes. It should be easy to move when you do your changes.

Do you(or anyone) by any chance have photos of the black cloth? Google has not been friendly

Go to an arts and crafts store and ask to look at the black cloth they have.

The internet is great and all but I swear it's ruined peoples common sense....

Quote of the MFing day!!! LOL! I won't even attempt to defend myself because it is true everywhere. Never hurts to see how things worked out for others though. I worry about water dripping down the back of the tank when cleaning, stretching, longevity of using tape or velcro, etc.
