Hi All,
my bichir within last two days turned into this, never seen this before , it looks
like he's bleeding from his scales, and he's bloated , and his fins are swollen,
maybe someone knows what's that,
my other bichir 13'' had it for a week or two two months ago and gone, now he's still
a little bloated,
I've been trying to find a tread about it but no result.....
thanks for reading:

holy! looks bad. seperate and add salt for now.

yikes looks pretty bad hopefully he recovers

water change water change water change.

then tell me your water parameters.

Looks like an internal infection. i would separate him and give him some salt in the tank. try and feed him and see if he is ok. If that doesn't work tell me and i have another thing that might work. with desperate measures.

What have you been feeding him? that may play a key part.

Hi there.
Sorry if i'm too late!

It looks to me like your fish is in the late stages of Septicaemia. (possibly some kind of Viral hemorrhagic septicemia?)
This is a very sad sight to see, and unfortunately it is most likely going to die.

There isn't much you can do at this stage, I would imagine anti-biotics injected into the fish is needed, but I wouldn't hold out hope for that either.

I really am all for trying to give fish a fighting chance instead of euphanasia, but in my honest opinion, the kindest thing you could do right now is to put this fish out of it's misery.
It is at a late stage, and it IS suffering. This will likely get worse too.
Also please take into consideration, that this is an EXTREMELY infectious disease, and will spread fish to fish very easily.

Good luck!
