Ok both are about 10inches long. Im going to keep one in a solo tank.
I'm leaning towards P. Delhezi. What do you guys think? Anything that makes the Weeksii stand out?
Definitely Weeksii. I think many people do not know it, but once a weeksii gets settled down in a tank, it is as active, or even more active than a delhezi. Plus they are called Fathead bichirs for a reason! I'm not saying delhezi is bad or anything, it still boils down to personal preferences. All bichirs are awesome! ^_^
I appreciate all the inputs. I am excited getting into Bichirs again. I havent tried any other Polypterus sp ever since my Senegal died more than a decade ago. I'll give it a shot again.

Thanks for siding with the Weeksii. I read they are quite shy, but thanks for the tip. That is what I'm expecting in one of weeksii's characteristic. With great mouth comes great appetite.
Both are great fish, having said that tank size may be the determining factor. A full grown del is not even on the same planet as a full grown Weeksii size wise. It is not just the length but Weeksii can pack on tremendous bulk.
How large of tank would it be going into? IMO anything under a 120 go Del. If it is larger go Weeksii or Both. Weeksii can be quite active as well, depends on the fish.
