I've had 12 inch fish do fine in my 75 gallon tank along with other tank mates IMO if it doesn't get longer than the tank is wide the fish should be fineI personally wouldn't do any cichlid that gets over 8" in a 4' tank. A salvini pair would be nice IMO.
I disagree, it's the bare minimum. 4' is not a lot of space for a fish that size to freely swim. Will it work? Yes. Is it ideal? No. I had a 13" oscar in a 72g. He would knock the glass lid off or injure himself on other things. It just didn't seem right. I sold him and got fish I felt were better suited. But you obviously know everything, so why start a thread?I've had 12 inch fish do fine in my 75 gallon tank along with other tank mates IMO if it doesn't get longer than the tank is wide the fish should be fine
Lmao I obviously don't know everything nor think I do and an oscar can easily live in a 75g happily is it ideal no neither is one guppy in a milluon gallon tank to people like you.... and u obviously don't know everything either and for ur information I didn't start this threadI disagree, it's the bare minimum. 4' is not a lot of space for a fish that size to freely swim. Let me guess and 8ft by 2.5ft tank isn't big enough for an arowana eitherI disagree, it's the bare minimum. 4' is not a lot of space for a fish that size to freely swim. Will it work? Yes.
