Ok, I've been outta the game for a few years but really want to get back into breeding again.
I do hope to someday have my own business, even if only a side income, and I'm torn between two starters right now; Uaru a. or frontosa.
Room is not an issue, basic husbandry is not an issue. The pros/cons list highlights just a few things. The Uaru grow quickly, have more young at a time, breed more often, yet command only a slightly lesser price and are not common in this area, although not rare either. However, the babies would require more care.
The frontosas have fewer young and less often, grow slower, and the parents would (seem to) require less attention, but the young require less care and they are always in demand while the uarus, while never being in the shops long when they are around, don't seem to be high demand fish which makes me think they might give a nice early return but quickly settle down. Maybe.
Thinking fiscally, anybody want to share an opinion?
