Help me find a bowfin?

Hello everybody, sometime last year i was able to order a 3" bowfin but my jardini ate him. i havent been able to find one since. i was wondering if anyone know where i could purchase one, or if i could purchase from a member.

In a couple months the small ones should start showing up online. Last year around march i found them on the following sites:

You might be able to catch a few depending on your location. Here in Virginia they're in ever lake, river, and puddle.

I'm in va beach but know just about everything in va tidewater and Piedmont

There's a reason the OP cannot find a bowfin. This species is illegal in CA. I'm closing this thread. OP: Do not repost. I suggest reading the Restricted Species Lists in the pinned articles of this forum for your state's list.
