Fishing in Wisconsin
I'm on vacation visiting relatives in Arlington thru the weekend and of course I have to stop by some of the Local Pet shops. I am hoping some of you DC area MFKer's could help me out. A big thanks for Frostyone for sending me some links for Maryland area Pet shops, I'm hoping to make my way up there. I have very limited access to a vehicle and will be relying on public transportation for most of my stay.

I would really appreciate some input. I'm not much of a city boy so the whole metro thing has me freaked out a little. Oh and another thing, I've been here 12 hours and only counted 6 4x4's, ha.

Anyhow, I'm in Arlington. We'll be spending lots of time in DC itself site seeing and what not. So I'd love to see some pet stores out here.

Thanks.

I don't know of any in D.C., though im sure they exist, but Riverdale is worth a stop it's just north of D.C. but definitley check out the national zoo's amazonia exhibit, its free and they have some HUGE Amazon monsters:)

Sounds like riverdale is a good place, will try to make it up that way. I will also check into the national zoo, sounds pretty amazing.

We went to the National Aquarium today, and that was awesome. I took hundreds of photos, there's so much cool stuff, cichlids, gars, tons of saltwater, even alligators. I will post a thread of photos from there later. We will probably go to the National Zoo tomorrow.

superpetz in annandale is pretty close to arlington area. Wally's is right down the street from superpetz too. These stores are not as good as the ones frostyone mentioned. But they have the most selection IMO around Arlington, annandale area.

We're going to check out Riverdale Pets Today. Then probably the National Zoo, tomorrow is supposed to be thunderstorms the whole day which makes for good weather to be indoors. So we will probably check out some more stores then.

Scales in Cloverly, MD is second to none in the area: http://www.scales-tfw.com/

Sweet, thanks. Went to Riverdale pets today and was blown away. That place is awesome. I took a bunch of pictures that I will post later. I couldn't believe how cool that place is. I think we may just have to make it to scales tomorrow if the lady lets me.

We went to SuperPetz and Wally's on Sunday. SuperPetz was really cool and Wally's was interesting, but they had a lot of tanks with no livestock, just water.
