Can anyone post links to plumbing schematics for sumps and other filtration? Here on MFK or elsewhere on the net.
I am wanting to maximize my filtration and have in mind under gravel filtration since that's where the majority of waste collects.
Thanks in advance.

A few more specifics will help.

Size and quantity of tank(s)?

Bio-load(s)? (and type)?

UGF have a few drawbacks, Most use HOBs or W/Ds.

120g tall and a 225g.
the 225 I am picking up this weekend. It has a 40 or 50g w/d sump and is drilled in the bottom. To start, in the next few weeks when i get it up and running. I will transfer my 2 10" oscars and a large peco into it. Tghat will be all for a long while. Later maybe add more fish, like a arowana and a pbass. Still need to do a ton of research before then b/c I have no idea if oscars are even compatable with those yet. It's just a though at this point.
Anyway, back on point. The 120 will eventually be a african cichlid tank (probably peacock) with a Fx5. not drilled.
As far as bio media, I'm not sure what that is.
