I was planning on doing an african biotope with my 75 but I ended up getting a green terror and that went out the window. My current stock in my 75 is a 5" delhezi polypterus, a 4" green terror and 6 congo tetras. I've been reading a lot about pikes for the past couple of weeks and I would like to try them in my tank. My tank is working it's way on being planted pretty decent and I have lots of cover with driftwood and rocks. I would like to add a couple of pike to my tank if it is at all possible.

I am thinking two compressiceps and a regani is what I would like to add. Do you think this would work? I'm still pretty new to learning about pike and I don't really know what all my options are for my tank size. Filtration wise I have a rena XP3 and a Sunsun 304b so I'm really good on filtration. In theory I would like to add a couple of the smaller guys and at least one larger one if possible.

I doubt you could mingle species in a 75. I would pick one you like and go that route. I would suggest regani or noto. Both are pretty laid back and not too aggro. I have never kept polys with dwarf pikes so I don't know how that would work out. I have some lugubris types in with a big ornate, but they are both of a size they don't mess with each other. Saxatalis types might be a better choice for that tank maybe.

I went ahead and ordered two regani and they will be here tuesday morning. We'll see how this works out.

After a couple weeks with my pair of regani males these guys are awesome. They're really relaxed, have shown no signs of aggression towards each other or my other fish, but the monster in them does come out when it's feeding time. I'm enjoying them a lot.
