Help me I.D. My new tank please.

Sounds pretty stupid but I was wondering if anyone could give me any info on my new tank. 36lx23wx20t with 5 inches off the back separated for a built in filtration system. Its acrylic and has a nice cover built on and 2 lids with it. I'm not sure about the tube area in the back, Could it be for a built in skimmer ? or a heater chamber? I plan on using it for my first full marine tank if possible. Lemme know if you have any ideas about it - Or if you know who makes it -

What you have is a DAS tank. I'm not sure of the manufacturer I don't think anyone will know because anyone could build one. There are a few options you can do with the chambers and yes it can be used for marine or reef.
 
Cool, any idea what the cylinder/chamber is for in the middle left of the 2nd pic?
 
mechanical and bio but I would put LR rubble and Chaeto in there and make a refugium.
 
Were you talking about the tower with the neck coming off of it? If so thats a protein skimmer.
 
The whole "back part" is a sump. The first chamber is a skimmer ( foam fractionner I believe is another term )as mentioned, the second chamber for a refugium ( I'd use a Deep Sand Bed over Live Rock Rubble ) with chaeto. The 3rd compartment is obviously for your return pump.
 
Thanks everyone - I'm pretty sure it was a good deal. I paid 70 bucks for it, gotta love craigslist. I thought it was a skimmer just don't really understand how they operate yet. It has an airstone under the skimmer chamber so i'm guessing i hook that up and go from there.
I would love to do a small moray species and maybe another smallish predator, Any ideas would be great -
 
Its nice -you shoulda. I've got no stand for it and nowhere for it but I couldn't pass it up - I think your the only other one from hood area I've seen on here -
