Help me ID him?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I can tell you what it does not look like.

It does not look like an albino chocolate(which really is not an albino)
It does not look like an albino sailfin(Which has whitish lines in in it)

It is a Pterygoplichthys . Me and Wildfya (sp) talked before about a real albino common(which would be rare). This is what my guess is. A real albino common(could be Pardalis or disjunctivus).

Sex shouldn't matter. Even if you did manage to get a pair, spawning is very hard as you would need a mud pond

I wouldn't try to spawn him/her I just was wondering about the gender because I was curious.
If there are other angles of pictures that I could take to help identify this guy then let me know. ^_^

I'd throw a wild guess that it's a male.

Sure, more shots can help in case I'm wrong on what I have said

Alrighty, I'll take some more of him later. I'm move him to a little container to get some different shots of him. Hopefully it'll help figure out exactly what species he is in that family you mentioned earlier. :D

Ok here are the other pictures that I took not sure if they'll help me though.

Also, his scales are more like armor and are very hard to the touch unlike fish scales that are softer and feel smooth, his scales feel rough to the touch and he has little spikes going down the length of his body.
