I'm Where I'm At
sorry for the lousy cellphone pics. there was three but the other two were hidden behind a heater. this was the only one out but was swimming around too much.

if kelberi, what is the going rate for this size? they were about 3-4" and these were $50 each. I've been out of the cichla loop a while now. I remember when these were really expensive

thanks in advance

Hard to tell by those pics, but being that Kelberi are far less available right now then last year, it's not surprising to see prices like that. The thousands of Tocantins Kelberi going around last year drove the price down. As for any pbass, inventory controls pricing, so if you want it, go for it.

I would say they have a good chance of being kelberi. Go for it. Look for a line straight through the tail. Usually other sp. have a broken line or it stops before the end of the tail if I'm not mistaken.

They do have the telltale golden spots on their tails. Along with the three prominent stripes. I'd say they're Kelberi.
