I got him as a yellow belly.

But what is he really?

Very happy. Healthy and established. But the more I know the better..

spilo or mac. I would say he would have to get bigger to really tell the difference, macs have a more bulldog shape when they get bigger, either way nice addition

Ruby red Maculatus I have many of these.. Had them ID bye Frank from OPefe he is a buddy of mine

Homed with my.left.over Malawi cichlids.
Picks one off now and then..

But amazing fish.
His current safe hide is the front corner of my tank.

Roughly 6" now.

How big will he get?

biggest I seen I think was 9"s and thats a rare sight
