G'day guys,

Ive got a 120g 48x24x24 with a Vieja Synspilum (7-8in), Jack Dempsy (5-6in), Green Terror (4in) and 3 male Convicts (2.5-3in).

Just thinking about adding a male Blue Acara (5in) from another tank in but i don't want to overcrowd, how's my stocking?

Im running a 2ft sump with a few other filters so water quality should be fine, more the space than anything.

Aggresion in the the tank is minimal and i dont want to upset the balance by overcrowding.

Any advice would be much appriciated.

I would leave it be. I think the acara would get beaten eventually. Just let them fill out the tank themselves. As they grow I see the JD/GT fighting quite a bit.

+1

I agree with the above posters.

Green terrors are very aggressive. They don't get the name "terror" for nothing. You may want to consider re-homing your JD or you GT depending on how they get along as they age.

Green Terrors aren't "very" aggressive. Especially compared to other SA/CA they are only semi-aggressive. However mine hated Blue Acaras (conspecific aggression), and almost killed one. My GT's never bother other fish though.

just cuz yours isn't aggressive doesn't mean they're all like that. i've seen some that were extremely aggressive and others that weren't so much.

^ I was posting based on my experience with GT's. the one I had was extremely aggressive and wouldn't let anything else in the tank with it.

What tank size? And I had 4 of them, none of them even had a chance against the really aggressive and powerful cichlids like Midas.
