I dont keep rays personally, but my understanding is yes, when they start curling, especially as bad as inthat photo it means its dying...

Can i ask is that your ray? If so how long have you had him and how long have you kept him in that tank?

If you kept that ray in that container this whole time then i'm going to say there is a 95% chance thats what caused the death curl in your ray...

No. I placed it in my tank at first. But it's keeps flip over and ain't movingZ that's why I moved out

Also are the filters new or old an what kind are they (canister / hob etc)?
