Here&There
My son's birthday is Monday. He's turning 6. Against my better judgement, I got him a Nintendo DS. There were some good reasons for doing so that I won't go into (or at least I keep telling myself that). Anyway, I don't know much about the DS, and I want to get him a cool game for it. I am going out today or tomorrow to get one. What are some of the cooler games that a 6yo would enjoy? I already have the remake of regular Mario Bros. What else? Thanks.

A 6 year old will like anything that is age appropriate for him. The games we liked when we were kids, and you can get, usually don't hold their interest for too long IME. But they are fun for you.

There are so many different types of games,it's hard to say what he will like. Almost all the annimated movies/tv shows have games. Pick one from a movie/tv he likes.

You could try one of the Pokemon games,Guitar Hero(too old 4 him?),one of the Lego games.Crayola has a Treasure Adventure game my daughter loves.

Hope this helps.

Pokemon Heartgold or Soulsilver is a GREAT game, I still play it and I know adults who play it, and little kids like it to.

I agree as well. Nothing beats a classic Pokemon game.

Thanks for the tips. His birthday was the 23rd (it was over 12min ago at time of this post). My wife and I got him the new Super Mario Bros, and he got Lego StarWars and Lego IndianaJones2 from fam & friends. He loves all of them. We gave them to him on Sunday at his party. We have already butted heads because I won't let him play it all the time. I saw that coming tho. Told him playing it a little bit is better than not having it and never playing. Me thinks it will make a good carrot to get homework and such done. (It's crazy that a 6yo even has homework) Anyway, I appreciate the tips, and maybe for Christmas I will look into those Pokemon games- but probably not KillZone.
