WESTMINSTER!! California
Today I was looking closely at my FH and now I noticed that it has a black dot on its Dorsal Fin.. it just came out of no where!! cause im 100% sure it was not there when i first got my FH...
Also, I heard that you can tell whitch FH is a male or female by looking for that black dot on the dorsal fin.... Does this mean my FH is a female?!

Not quite, most of them are born with the dots. If it is black dots on the fins, this can mean that either your fish is starting to fade or the water is bad quality. For flowerhorns, there are many cases that the water are bad in quality then their color reverse. Pictures can be a big help here to know exactly what it is...

well i heard from my LFS that a black dot on the dorsal fin is a sign that it is a female.

These are very wrong info, Black marking on the fins is not exist when they are born, it most appear when they are in 3 months above, and im pretty 100% sure its not appeared because of the poor water quality, because its a part of their gene...

@ OMGjimmySaidd, if its not there before so there's a possibility that your FH is a female.. btw post some pics.

after i repair my FH, i had another post. and it turns out to be a ich... ;\ i hope my FH makes it thru this!!!

Well pardon me here for my mistake. Of course they wouldn't inherit everything right away at birth, but at 3 month. They are still considered as pretty much new born to me.
Oh, and trust me. FH color can reverse if your water is poor quality. I've seen it a few times. And I'm sure it is not something that is uncommon.
