rhode island of course
my new blackbelt cichlid seems to have a slight redness in or around its gills..and im not sure on wat it is i think its a parastie...should i treat the tank with like a quickcure type thing or someting like melafix...wat do you guys think...

Reddened gills are more usually a sign of irritattion due to pH being high or low, or due to ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate issues than to parasites which usually cause pale gills. Gill flukes can cause bloody gills but are usually visible. Before treating for parasites check your water parameters.
