I have two Satanoperca who can no longer swim.
One can not even keep right and is lying all the time. I must give him the food at hand.
The other, still going swimming, but with difficulty.
I have already made a treatment with Sera Baktopur Direct, did not result, but they also do not worsened further.
I suspected a problem with the Bladder, but did not have any swelling.
Has anyone had a problem like this??

Thanks

never seen a bladder problem without the swollen stomach..
in the picture yours seems to have a sunken stomach..
you have nothing to lose at this point, i would treat them with epsom salt to draw out any fluid and clean out there stomachs

It has actually a sunken stomach, because has eaten almost nothing. I have to put the food in your mouth.

I do not know the "epsom salt". It is a special or regular salt to aquarium?

Thanks for your help.

Have you tested your water????

Of course, is always the first thing to do.
The problem is not water quality. I moved them to a hospital tank and change the water every week.

That one, in the picture, has no chance, but the other, still eat´s and swim.

Let's see if it improves.

Epsom Salt is different to normal salt..
It's magnesium sulfate..
Buy it from your supermarket or pharmacy..
very cheap and works great..
add 1 tablespoon per 2gals of water, leave it for one day then do a waterchange..
2 days later do another waterchange, make sure your nitrates and everything are ok
as epsom works like a laxative and they will do a lot of poop etc in your water and make it messy very fast..
Good luck with the treatment..

Epsom Salt is the best way to go as of right now,so visit your local pharmacy it should be located by all the bandages and wrap stuff.(by all the medicine of course.)

have you solved your problem? (my fish would appear to have the some problem)
