Okay you may think i am a noob after i ask my questions, but it doesn't matter to me.


1) What is the difference between a Molly and a Platy?:confused:
2) Do Mollys/Platys and Gouramis have issues with each other?:confused:
3) How do I break up my Mollys/Platys and Gouramis daily fights?:confused:


Can you please give as many helpful hints as you can. Thank you all.:)
 
First off, your not a noob... no question is a stupid question when you come to these forums, but from my experience ive never had problems with them before, ive kept them in a community tank together many times.... and are they close in size? maybe a tank divider? or if things get REALLY bad you might need to separate them

my 20 has:
4 golden killies
2 guppies
4 mollys/platy
5 zebras
5 corys
2 kuhli loaches
3 yo yo loaches
4 penguins
2 glass ghost catfish
1 fox flyer
1 dwarf gourami


10 gallon:
9 neon tetras
3 bleeding heart tetras
2 dwarf puffers
2 corys
1 bat cat
1 pleco
1 "stone cat"( don't know if that is real name)
5 zebras
1 kuhli loach


10 gallon:(had ich 2 days ago)
2 angel fish
1 cory
2 kissing gourami
1 pleco
1 sevrum
1 red tailed shark


1 gallon:
2 loaches(have ich right now)


where should i put the two attackers from my old post if they need to be moved?
 
You could possibly put the two gouramies in the 10 gallon, everything should get along... but it might be a bit cramped, if not try and see what happens and if the fights begin to lessen, if all else fails.. return them to a lfs? if you dont really care about them, its up to you, i have 4 sailfin mollys, and 7 neon tetras, along with 4 dwarf gouramies in a 30G tank, and they all live happily...
 
no, i wouldnt see one eating a dwarf puffer, maybe the mollies though
