1)What type and how many gallon per hour pump i need for this set up?
2) and do the Aqueon AAG29251 Overflow Accessory Kit will work on this set up?
Tank is a 90 gallon and thanks in advance.

I would keep it below 600 gph, but more then 400gph. And yes the kit will work.

Would a 920GPH be too much?
does it matters if it is external or internal?

If it's putting out 920 gph at the tank then it's to much. Internal or external doesn't matter. Anything more then 600gph will overwhelm your overflow and flood the tank. There are ways around it but still is unsafe.

Can anyone recommend a pump on the cheap side that will last me a few months while i get money to buy a better one.
