Hi

I've been pricing up some tanks and it looks like a 108x30x30" is possible.

I need help with the plumbing though.

The proposed tank will have;

Two wiers

Left wier two 40 OR 50mm bulkheads for a twin standpipe arrangement. One 25 OR 32mm bulkhead in the base and a respective 25 OR 32mm bulkhead in the SIDE of the wier. This will be about 8-10" down so could give me a 30%ish drain of the tank. This will be used for water changes only and will be plumbed to waste.

Right sided wier two 40 OR 50mm bulkheads, again for a twin standpipe arrangement. One 32mm bulkhead for the return. The return line will have a "Y" 45degree plumbed in,(with ball valve and above one way valve)so that I can fill from the tap.

I plan to use an 11-16,000LPH pond pump.

Will it work????

Any adjustments needed???

Drill four 3 inch holes along the back top of the tank.......Hook up some pvc piping so the water can overflow into the sump/filter.......

40mm or 1.5" x 4
25mm or 1" x 2

The 25mm lines are for returns & the 40mm are for drains.

1.5" or 40mm PVC will flow ~1,300gph. So, 1,300 x 4 = 5,200gph or 19,600lph

I think you should be good to go. I would stick with the pump that you have to make sure that you have plenty of room for flow.
