help me sex my SB Texas

I am not sure if my SB texas is a male or female yet so here is a pic. and how do i tell the difference because i want to cross this guy or girl with a red devil and i have a choice of female or male red devil so if my texas is a boy or girl i can make it work

Vent it. Some SB's are difficult to sex because their body shape is warped.. I can't see its dorsal fin clearly either so I can't aim for the dorsal spot.. Just catch it, flip it around and look at its sexual opening. If the opening looks like a V, its a male, if its more like a U than its female. The anus is the dot closest to the head, the vent is located under the anus, closer towards the tail. If you can't tell, take a few pictures and post em.
 
there is no opening there is just a tube that is shapedlike this < so is it a he
 
hard to tell for sure, even with venting, But from my experience with SB Tex's he looks like a male from that one pic....good luck. Maybe try Parrot female, if using Red devil be very careful she doesnt kill him! good luck, they are my fave fish
