I picked up this 5' synspilum from LFS
boy or girl?

Will they breed at this size/age?

Thinking male but I'm no expert

The head profile suggests male to me.
Unless you have both sexes side by side it's very difficult to tell until they are bigger.
Any veija I have kept males were normally around 7 inches before they started to breed.
Regarding sexing,it's really a guessing game until more mature and without both sexes present.
