This is my first vieja and I have no clue how to sex it... It is about 5'' right now and fast becoming one of my favorite fish.... I have a couple more larger ones at my brothers. Thanks in advance for all replys...

That is nice looking Syns. Really nice color. Still needs to get larger to get an accurate sex. But my first guess would be male. Not definite though.
I was at a local fish store I'd never been to before, and they had some Viejas. i think it was the same as that one.
Do you know what species it is? i'm no Vieja expert, but it looks most similar to the Fenestratus in the cichlid-forum profiles. I'm probably wrong though.

I can't tell you the sex but it's a nice lookin' Synpillum. Hope the dorsal heals up nicely, giggedy giggedy.
