I scored a new 24g nano with stand for $190.00:headbang2 . I would like to make a semi planted tank. Give me some ideas on what to stock it with.

Maybe you can breed brittle nose plecos. The tank is big enough and can be kept with plants. Also, You can go with little schooling fish on the top of the water and another little cat on the bottom such as a pictus or something that stays small. Galaxy (raspora or rasbora) "I dont know spelling" There on the expensive side but there new and look awsome. You'd have a nice looking tank.

i would get a nice sized school of cardinal tetras and then heavily plant the tank. it would be cool to see a cloud of little fish zooming around a tank, popping in and out of sight every once and a while.

you could also try to breed fancy guppies. those things are pretty cool, and you could have quite a few of them. or you could just do a crawfish or two. those things are sweet.

there's a tank at my LFS that is just pure awesome. It has a large piece of driftwood that extends above the waterline with a ledge. In the tank there are a couple very small turtles swimming around and they go up to the ledge occasionally to sun. they are kept with baby bala sharks, guppies, red nosed tetras (i think that's what they're called), and some small cories. It's densely planted with small cover plants and some anacharis, amazon sword, and other plants. I wouldn't quite call it a palauderium (or however you spell it) because the only land part is the ledge connected to the driftwood. The substrate is the black ecocomplete... the black color really brings out the green of the plants and turtles and the colors of the fish. If you did this it truly would be AWESOME.

The tank is some kind of cube, one of the larger ones. perhaps a 24
