Help me stock my 190g dream tankon

I'll be picking up an approximately 190g tank in a few weeks. Dimensions are 60" long x 36" wide x 20 " tall. I'll be transferring the following fish from my (overstocked) 125g :

1 fire eel 18"
1 Ornate polypterus, 15"
1 polypterus teugelsi 14"
1 polypterus delhiezi 12"
2 Florida gar 10"
1 black ghost knife 6"

I also have 2 senegal polypterus and 5 silver dollars that I might trade in at the LFS.

So, what else should I put in this thing? I've considered clown loaches (how many would be good?) or some sort of catfish (don't know which, any reccomendations?) Would these make good tankmates? I'm open to your suggestions, so if you have any thoughts please share!
 
i think if you put some middle dwelling fish in like a cichlid or and aro even i think it would look pretty good. maybe some dats. what kind of decor are you going to do?
 
Decor is still up in the air. I prefer a sand substrate, but that's all i know at this point... Can anyone link to pics of cool tanks that are shaped like this (wide and short)?

I"m not sure what would look best, but I'll probably have some driftwood and smooth rocks.
 
theres not as much middle room as you think :P

it should be nice as is on stocking, ^^

What do you mean?

And what are peoples' thoughts on a motoro ray-- could this work in this setup or am I just being stupid?

go with a teacup which will stay smaller

what he said, hystrix or retic is what you want for that though a moto would work for quite a while.


i mean to say, i have a tank thats very similar in size, and i have too medium sized angels and they fill up the middle space really well, i think the gars will be fine

i have heard bad things about polys and rays though, ive heard of it working as well though never risked it myself ^^
