Hey, all! I'm getting ready to place an order from Rapps and I'm looking for a few suggestions on stocking my 84 x 36 tank. So far I'm interested in picking up the following:

Salvini
A Lyonsi
H Labridens
A sagittae

I'm also interested in picking up one of his Oscars and a super red severum but i haven't kept either in years, so I'm not sure if they would get along with the others I have listed.

Other fish I have currently are 5 rather large clown loaches, a dwarf pike, 5 white fin black sharks, and a small calico convict. These are all fish I've adopted.

I've been out of the freshwater game for a while, so I'm looking for suggestions on stocking numbers and other species perhaps...interested in other's ideas. Thanks for any help.

with that big of a tank.. you can add a couple more fish
i recommend Vieja.. awesome colors on these guys! and if you want one brute i suggest a jaguar or UMBIE!

Those wild oscars he has are nice. He has had them for a while so maybe he will cut you a deal. I would recommend some Geophagus Altifrons as well. If you are going to some bigger CA's though the Archocentrus Centratchus are nice as well as the Istlanum and Carpintis.

Looks like I'm getting:
3 Paratheraps bifasciatus
1 Cichlasoma salvini
2 Astronotus sp Orinoco/Venezuela
1 Astronotus ocellaris ‘gold’
2 Hoplarchus psittacus
3 Herichthys labridens Media Luna
3 Amphilophus lyonsi
1 each of Amatitlania nigrofasciatus
sp. ‘Honduran red point’
sp. ‘Rio Rabalo’

I'm not too worried about pairs forming out of the multiples. If it becomes a problem i can cull out the ones I don't want and either trade them, give them to a couple friends, or put them in seperate tanks. All of these fish except the H labridens and Honduran red points are 2-4". Those guys are going to be seperate until they put on some size.

Pic of my tank so far. I've got another good sized piece of drift wood for the tank and I'll probably add some more small rocks here and there as i go. Besides that, it's pretty much ready for the TUIC box showing up on Wednesday.:headbang2 Please excuse the unfinished stand. I'll be looking for some nice Walnut or Mahogany veneer to finish it with this Spring.
