Help me stock my 40Gal

Long story short, I broke my 40 Gal the other day
Picked up a new one today, have it fully setup and the cycle is going great
Now help me stock it!

so far I know I am getting the following
Wild or Tiger Oscar
Senegal Bichir

help me stock the rest, i need some sort of catfish because i love them and ill get some of whatever you guys suggest

ps: I KNOW i cant keep all these fish in this tank for life, nor do i plan on doing so, ill be getting a 125 gallon for them when they outgrow the 40 and ive got the money for an upgrade. i just need some juvis until i can afford the bigger tank

Okay well you can find a wide variety of catfish at most of your lfs and you hould pick the one that you like the best but an oscar will eat anything tht can fit in its mouth so be careful when sizing them. Also make sure you put the least aggressive fish in first. I also think that you could put in some nice cichlids like convicts just make sure you dont get a male and a femal since they will get very agresive and can kill any of the other fish in your tank. Good Luck but yeah your right you will have to upgrade and soon, oscars grow about an inch per month. good luck.

So you're trying to stock a growout for a 125? along with the O and birchir, I'd add a JD and a GT. or a grammodes, maybe they can be pretty bad.

thank you for the advice, im looking for what type of catfish i could go with though from owners personal experience. and i hate convicts, had three and one killed the other two and beat up my fahaka puffer so i dont want cons hah
