I've got two Senegal Bichirs and one Jack Dempsey. Right now the bichirs are in the 65 and the jack in the 20, but I'm going to move the bichirs back to the 20 and cycle the 65 properly (impatient decision to move them early
)
So what else would be good in here? I don't want any more Poly's. I'm thinking about an african brown knife, but for the most part I want more cichlids or other 'pretty' fish. I would love to have a small school of dither fish, but i don't know of anything that will survive with the bichirs and dempsey.
I'm not doing any live plants, just driftwood and rocks.
Fish we've been thinking about are Firemouths, Jewel Cichlids, clown loaches, african knife, leopard ctenopoma, angelfish, gouramis, redtail shark....I don't know
What about a school of glass catfish? They might be quick enough to avoid being eaten?
edit: I'd like to avoid putting many more bottom dwellers in there. I already feel like the bichirs could use a longer tank and I don't want to overcrowd their territory much more than it is. I'm HOPING to be moving into a house mid-late next year though, and at that point I'd be able to afford a 75long for them...but there's too much hoping to stock fish based on that...
edit2: I'm running a rena xp3 for filtration and hopefully won't be adding anything else. If I do I'm thinking a magnum HOT filter.
(Sorry this is a little bit of a duplicate from the polypterus section, but I'm starting to think that subforum doesn't get much traffic and I might get more advice here)
