well i have the guy at my LFS looking for some exodus for me, but that might take a while, and be expensive for a shoal of them. so i am opening my mind to some other options. its a 38 gal tank. i was thinking of a single or pair of salvinis, but i just was looking at blue acaras and green terrors and am liking those too.i am also open to anything, i am looking for an eye-catcher, something bright.
-thanks in advance

too small for them.
a female salvini and another small cichlid would be okay. the females look great anyway. male salvinis are ugly and can get to 10". the females stay small and vibrant. green terrors get too big and require a larger tank. blue acaras could work but from my experience they are just ugly boring GT wannabe's that get bullied by just about anything I kept them with.

How about a pair of honduran redpoints? they are stunning, don't have as many babies as convicts and also are much less aggressive. to the point where they can be considered a community fish.

Well exodons or a salvini is what I'm hoping for but if I can't get either one in the next couple of weeks I was looking for another option. The honduran redpoints look pretty cool but I don't think I could find them here. I already have a community with rams, tetras and more. I should get some gouramis for it though. Any other ideas?
