I have a 90 gallon Tank, i was interested in aquiring a baby Dat for my Communtiy aquarium. My question is this, Which Datnoid would be the most ideal for my tank setup>? I have a Retic Ray 6" disk female
4.5-5" Ebjack dempsey
6"glass kniferfish
6"Clown knifefish, i want to sell
3.5" Black ghost knife
3" Blue/opaline gourami
Red betta that beat up my grandmothers neons
and a 2" Peckliota pleco

My PH is at 7.0, and nitrate is at 0. i want a Dat that doesnt NEED salt at all... also I am looking for a Dat that wont get Redunkulouslly big...Please help me, which selection of Datnoid would be most ideal for my settings? I got some driftwood and rocks in my tank with a sand substrate. Thanks:feedback:

Recommend Microlepis, Very hardy and not difficult to feed. If you get them small, you can easily train them to eat anything from flakes to pellets etc.

So which of the main 5 or so dats stays the smallest?... and doesnt need salt in theyre habitat? Microlepis??? is that the siamese TF? and what are Dats normal Favorite foods?

What is it with people claiming they have zero nitrates?! Under normal circumstances you will have nitrates unless your tank is not cycled!

Go with any dat that you can find since most likely you are not going to be able to pic and choose. Like said before the silver seems to prefer more salt.

any but a silver. Growth rate is so slow that it shouldnt make much of a difference lol....

If your nitrates are 0, I suggest getting a new test kit or evaluating your other parameters (nitrite and ammonia)

I havent tested my nitrites, i probably should, and yes my tank was just set up, i just bought the 90 gallon, with some dough i made at school ha
