HELP me with info on freshwater rays

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
retics or scobina but keep in mind while these are some of the smaller fw rays..they still require at least a 180 gallon aquarium when fully grown

yer ikno they need a large tank i am getting a 6ft tank and i want some wood and plants in it so there would ot be enough space for a huge ray

what are the retics and cobina names for those two rays and how big do they get in diameter

i would like a ray wich is about 8-10inches fully grown if thts possible

reticulated stingray or "tea cup". they get between 12-14" max i guess but it takes a lil while to hit that. how wide will ur 6ft tank be? width is most important.

retic / teacup rays can grow to a 16inch disk easy a scobina will max out at a 12inch disk

even for the smallest rays you need a tank that is 6ft long x 2ft wide the depth is not that important

also keep in mind that the max size on retics does not include the tail...retics have very long tails and could easily add another 10 inches (possibly more) of tail not including the disc.

im probably going to get a scobina but how much wood and decor can i hav in a 6ftx2ftx2ft
if i want to have rays

wood and decor should be bare minimum rays need lots of swimming space and they will uproot any plants you have in your tank. gl with the scobina the only person that it seems has them is frank and he lives in germany
