My kiddie pool had a similarish volume and was kept at 24 degrees C by 2 300watt aquarium heaters...took ages to warm up initially, but after that was fine...while it lasted <lol>

You have two choices heat the water or heat the room which the pond is in. Not sure which would be more ecconomical.

Start up costs: The tank heaters are more ecconomical.

Long run: The room heating unit is more ecconomical.

I have a similar sized above ground pond outside and a pair of 300 watt aquarium heaters kept it at 68 degrees all last winter, even though the regular water temp would have been 44.
