How long can female guppies stay in labor????:nilly::confused::drool:

Please Say the avarage or something because I think that my Guppy will drop soon she has been in labor since yesterday afternoon and also what are some things she will do before birth???

Huh? Guppies don't have "labor" like mammals. What is your guppy doing that makes you think she's in "labor"? Once guppies start dropping fry, it goes fast.

Lol guppies dont go into labor and there is nothing to worry about... its just a guppy they reproduce at the drop of a dust particle (not a hat its faster than that lol...)

make sure you provide them alot of hiding places or they'll get eaten by the adults. and dont starve your adults.. :chillpill:

impatient much? lol.

they don't go into labor, and there aren't really big red flags when she's gonna drop. mine sometimes acted lethargic right before, but nothing you wouldn't notice unless you look for it

Yeah, guppies dont really give off too many signs.

She'll usually disappear about an hour before, then re-appear much thinner. and be quite tender.

Some say to remove the females, firstly to save the fry, but secondly, to save the female the attentions of the males. They can get pretty "insistent" when they see a thin female.

One thing to watch is the gravid spot. (just on the "bottle neck" of the body.) when this is huge, their just about ready to go (within the week)

In some of the paler bodied guppies, you can sometimes see the fry if you take a good look.

Best of luck. guppy breeding is mighty addictive. i prefer to smoke mine :naughty:
