HELP messed up TNS fins

I was cleaning up after meal time with a net and my tns's 2 front fins got stuck in the net. With him thrashing and me trying to free him, it messed up his fins pretty bad. It looks like it seperated the fin from the bone. What should i do?

mine had his fin almost completely torn off by my channel catfish. i added some salt and its almost completely grown back. it should grow back just give it time. but if it doesnt there aint much u can do

Torn fins usually heal very quickly, but insure you have ideal water parameters (ammonia at 0, nitrite at 0, nitrate below 20). You could treat with an mild antibacterial like melafix as insurance that no infections set in. Watch him closely and if you begin to see signs of infection, treat with a real antibacterial like Maracyn.

oh yea and a tad bit of salt. aquarium salt works great with my cats. keeps e healthy and brings out there colors
