Hello everyone I recently aquired a very beat up jaguar and thought it only had scale damage but found out one side is body fungu and he is about 6-7 inches long along his whole side. I am in need of help of what to do to help him

Add aquarium salt to water. 1 tbsp. to every 5 gallons of water. Also you can try melafix and Pimafix. Just follow directions on bottles. Bump temp upto 82-84 degrees also. Good luck. It should heal up they are very tough resilient fish

Thank you! I am going to add the salt now and see how he does. He is with a female I also saved should I be worried for her as well

As long as they are not fighting they should be fine together. The aquarium salt will help get rid of the fungus and so will the Pimafix. You have to watch out for bacterial infection too. Melafix will help with that. Good water quality is very important. I recommend at least 30% every other day until it heals up.

Please post water perameters, ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, ph, temp and hardness if available. I can make suggestions as to the most effective meds based on your perameters. That looks bad but should respond to the correct meds.
