HELP!!! motoro hurt

hey guys i noticed that this happened to my motoro ray and i have no idea how it occurred. from the picture it looks like one cut and a stinger where the disc connects to the tail. Its purplish whitish and is starting to swell. Anyone ever have this happen?

not sure it came like that... i do see a long stinger like object in her belly
or top portion near the tail where its purple and white

would i need a vet to perform surgery?

No it will work it self out and heal. Just add one pound of salt ( fresh sea salt like u would use for salting ur side walks) per gallon of water u have and let it work it's magic but only use it once every water change or every 3 to 4 weeks

if you have a heater in the tank without a gaurd then you have a good chance it was that

heaters are in the sumps, it was hurt already when it was in the bag. i performed a 10 percent water change added aquarium salt and its very healthy on hikari sinking and live/frozen bloodworms
. hes been swimming around in the tank with another smaller motoro.
