LOL that is so weird i just moved my tank from my old house to my new house. This is how i did it. I left the sand in the tank with a little water maybe 1/2 an inch to 1/4 over the top of the sand to keep it wet. I filled a 5 gallon bucket up with some tank water put all my filter media in. Then filled up another 5 gallon bucket with tap water( make sure you use dechloronated tap water because the tank will have amonia inside it and there will be no bacteria to control it in the bucket so use the cleanest water possible) put the fish in there with a heat pack. Then was really all set to go. Moved everything over. Filled it up with dechloronated tap water .Let it sit for about 10 to 15 minutes to make sure that all the chlorine was taken care of and turned everything on. I had to do this for 4 tanks.

Just moved my tanks 75g, 2 30g, and a 10g. Here's what i did, first i went and got some bags from my LFS(4 free;) ) and bought some oxygen tablets, after removing fish and placing them in their bags i used my bubble blower to add a little more oxygen to the bags and dropped a few tablets in there for good measure. then i emptied all of the water out of the tanks, i left all the substrate in each tank. Removed filters but did not throw away filters, i just placed the whole filter inside the tank, so that when i set tanks back up i had the "old" medium already. Before moving the tanks i then covered the top with plastic trash bags to keep any dust from the moving truck from contaminating the tanks. did this setup the tank at new location, which was 4 weeks ago, no problems. The transport was a 3 hour ordeal, but everyone was o.k
