My C. Atabapo has had some pitting despite excellent filtration and frwquent large water changes. It seemed to help when I added some Vitachem to the water. I was wondering what anyone here thinks about adding human grade liquid multivitamins like <<http://www.vitamins-nutrition.org/vitamins/products-reference.html>> seems like human grade would be better. However I am slightly concerned it may contain things not applicable or harmfull to fish-please give feedback. Thanks. Greg.

I would add the vitamins directly to the food instead of into the water.

Just soak their food in the Vita-Chem so they get it directly.

You can use the Centrum Vitamins for fish. Just crush them up and mix them in with some wet food.

If you make a recipe for your fish in the food processor its easier to add vitamins into the mix before freezing.

Thanks die fleidermouse. Another question-I only feed him frozen food-he wont take pellets- will soaking frozen worms, brine shrip, krill, etc do the trick? or will the vitamins wash off upon entry into the water? are any of the above foods more absorbant than the others? how long of a soak? Many thanks, Greg

What i would do, is put a little bit of the liquid vitamin on your frozen cubes or whatever you have, then stick it back in the freezer so the vitamins freeze onto the food.

Then when it comes time to feed, its all ready for them.

some of the vitamins might wash off in the water, but if you have the vitamins on all the frozen cubes, they'll get plenty. ;)
