Most likely it will grow back. May be deformed though. Why is it damaged?

... Damage seems like a light word compared to the picture. what happened? Its as if its been eaten off.... The tail should grow back. Bud like derick said, it will most likely deformed....

not to worry it will grow back....but just make sure u maintain good water parameters.....my arowana injured its tail last year....the whole tail had come off...but it eventually grew back after some time...so don't worry..:)

Shift it to a 30 gallon tank...Turn up the temperature to about 30 degrees celcius and add salt to the tank.
Do 20% water change every 2 days for 2 weeks...then reduce the temperature to around 26 degrees celcius..by the time the fin will be already 80% healed

Ok..Thanks will do..how much salt should i put?

Dont turn the lights on & lower ur water level. The vid looks like the aro is stress from the light being that he is in a new environment. (swimming against glass)

Just as long as he eats and swims back and forth on the top, he should be fine and fin will grow back
