HELP! My arowana has clamped fins and white film!

Just noticed today. He is sitting near the top with clamped fins and a whitish film. Nit exactly a film but like white hanging off of him. He did eat a little but just is not himself. Not active really lazy. He is one of my prized fish and losing him would be a disaster. I did a 80% water change and added API pondcure melafix which says it fixes bacterial infections and stuff... What does he have wrong with him and can he pull through?

What can i do to help him???

Stop medicating. Increase temp slowly to 87-88 degrees F. Add salt per directions and do large water changes often and add salt back.

I have a lima shovelnose convict and 2 tinfoil barbs in there. Can i still add salt?

Also do you think he will recover?

Yes you can still add salt.

Keep the water clean and yes he should recover
