my black arowana hasnt eaten in a week. does anyone one know why? he is healthy and is always swimming around and seems happy. he does have a damaged fin on the top from another fish i had in the tank with him. i got ride of that fish btw. any help would be great

Sometimes they fast for no apparent reason IME.

Is yours the big one in the small tank? If so stress may be catching up.

sounds like your tank might be getting a little on the crowded side...

his fins are open. he swims around and looks good. hes 24" in my 120 gallon tank. seems happy. he ate last wednesday and it was a small mouse. now he is just chilling out and seems good but has no intention on eating.

as long as he looks ok i wouldn't worry too much...

yikers.....i am thinking that the 120gal might be getting a tad packed? (never thought i would be one to state overstocking....)

by the way, what is your filtration on that tank?

gotta say it one more time.....for a $200 fish, invest in a $300 tank....im sure you can find something in the 6' length range for that much....

great fish though - sounds like it is full of mouse at the moment
