My mean dovii who was a sollo in a 55 gallon tank for a couple weeks, was very scared and frightened of me, so I bought a red devil for some company for him well they are both 3 inches and they got into a fight they were lip locking and biting each other. The dovii is still the leader but the side of his lip is swollen from lip locking, it doesn't look bad just a little white. Will it heal? Please Reply I have to know!!

yes it will heal but you dont buy a red devil for a roomate for a dovii. also the 55 is fine for a 3 inch dovii but i hope you have plans for the future.
if you want for him to have company try a silver doller. something not cichlid based. still doesnt guarrentee anything
I would leave him solo or get some females in another few inches and try to pair them. Dovii are skittish for awhile it takes some patents to grow them out but well worth it.
