HELP MY ELECTRIC BLUE JOHANII WITH HOLE IN FACE!!!

I've head of hole in the head, but what about hole in the face? I realize I shoulda done something a lot sooner, but he had at first what seemed like a stretch mark from eating pellets that were too big for him. For the longest time it was there and I thought it would go away. It didn't. And now it is sort of deteriorating and you can see to his mouth through it. I feel extremely bad and want to help him. Any ideas? Please hurry with any ideas, causes or solutions.

do daily 50-75% water changes, bump temp to atleast 82 add 1 tsp NON iodized table salt for every 5 gallons of changed water. continue until healed.
