I had my flowerhorn for about one month now. The first 3 weeks he is doing fine, eatibg a lot, showing good colors. But than this week I change the decoration in the tank to all rocks. He now is very scare, go go crazy whenever I walk close to the tank and now he mostly hide behind the rocks. Is this due to me changing the decorations around or maybe something wrong with the water?

Maybe, is he acting sick? What are your water parameters? ammonia/nitrite/nitrate/ph.

Mine did that for a while when I added him to the tank. Its more than likely because of you changing the decor around but have you tested your water just to be safe? What are the parameters? What do you keep your temp at?

Changing stuff around like that can cause them to act that way. Just let your fish settle into its new environment. It'll be fine...

Yeh. I agree with everyone else. If water parameters are fine then its the new decor. Just wait a week tops and he should be back to normal.

How big is the fish? What size tank is he in? What kind of filtration? Water temperature? Any tankmates? Sorry for all the questions but they are all questions that need to be answered before we can answer your question.

he is about 2.5 inches, tank mates for 1inch convict, 3inch severums. Tank size is 40. Water temp is 80. and i got 2x 150 gal whispering filter

But i'm going to move all of them into a 75 gal tank already set up probably this Friday. I think the space is too small for them that's why. I'm also planning to buy a Green Terror in about 2 weeks. Do you guys think my FH, Severums, Convict and GT will do well together?

Your FH will dominate them all and make their life miserable soon. Some will be floating on top of the surface, some will look like they are descaled and ready to go on the deep fryer pan. If this doesn't come through, you are one very lucky FH keeper and should be proud of yourself. :D
