I read a thread a while ago about a datnoid having a pimple but never paid much attention. I just tried to search it up but couldn't find it.

So my question is, wth is this, how to treat it, and how did this happen?

I had it in my 300g comm tank, just did an inspection of the other fish and their fine. I did an inspection yesterday and there was nothing on my IT so this basically happended over night. I just put my IT in a 55g to keep him away from my other fish. My other question is, do I need to do something about my 300g? Like add salt, WC, etc etc ?

im sorry to say that once they get this in the blood they never seam to get rid of it again

it my go down but can pop back up at anytime and in some cases kill

there is no long term cure you just need to control it as best you can

the best thing i have found from other people is to sqweezethe spot by hand the put neet esha 2000 on the spot

another problem is the spots are normally very close to the eye

good luck

Ok, I also read lots of WC and salt.

But my other question is, are my other tank mates ok? Or is this contagious? Should I do something to the tank I just took him out of?

it only affects tigers

treating the whole tank with esha wont hurt and up the temp to 86-88 i have only used salt once never again

the good thing is tigers go stiff when out of the water which makes them very easy to work on

yours is not that bad right now so i would put it back in the main tank if its the only tiger in the tank and see how it goes for a week or 2

pimples usually occur due to bad water condition. Prehaps you like to do more frequent Water Change and add salt. Hope it help.

I encouter this case before but due to my ignorant, i overdosage of salt which kill the fish instantly. So carefully on the dosage of any extra stuff into your tank.:)
