So like the post says my Jack Dempsey jumped out. I was at the store running some errands and I came home with it laying on the floor.. I thought it was dead so I went to pick it up and it actually started flipping around so I put him back in the tank and he just sank to the bottom. I figured he was dead but once again he started coming into Consciousness and is kind of swimming around. I wonder how long he was out his scales were kind of dry is there anything that I can do to help it and do you think it will survive?

I’ve had koi do this twice. Both times they were dry and very close to death. I had to gently sway them back and forth in the water till they started coming around. I was in panic mode and forgot you can put them over a bubbler.

Anway. I had good success just salting the water and giving them time.

If your guy came to on his own I’d say he has a great chance at being just fine. Just watch out for signs of infection or fungus.

Agreed^ the stress guard is good too. I’ve used that multiple times too.
