Clearer pictures would go a long way in helping you solve this problem. Is he in there with other jags? If so, it may be from lip-locking. I've seen jags that could open their mouths wide enough to get half of their opponent's head in their mouth.

See if you can't get some clearer pics though.

Im not sure what that is.....Ive never had anyhting like that on my jags.....

pictures are really unclear and hard to say..I say HITH, well the beginning stages of it..

i agree...very unclear, but does look like the begining of HITH...although i didnt think that could just happen that fast. what is your diet and waterchange schedule like?

I will try to get better pics soon. He is eating blood worms, hikari Stable/Gold pellets. Water changes are everyday. HITH? omg

uhm I cant really tell by pictures, but I can say if it looks like white fuzzy stuff it may be from a cut from a bite or he may have scratched his head on something, if that is the case and it looks like white fuzz then you should be able to treat it with salt and higher water temp. I saved my JD with white fuzz that way. My bf and I have a pair of Jags and they got clear mouth/white fuzz and we treat them with Erythromycin we bought at petsmart and it worked as long as you keep up with treatment/water changes. Erythromycin is also good for HITH its $15-$20 you can also get it at a Vet's office usually.
