hello everyone, i have a sick knifefish and would appreciate your oppinions on the matter.
about 2 months ago my 18" knifefish came down with ich from a few feeders he had when i ran out of the normal frozen food i use. He was treated with the heat and salt method for 2 weeks and showed little improvment, so we tried a product called Metroplex. still after a few weeks of treatment he showed no significant signs of improvment. he still scrapes and flashes when the lights go out, but mainly his face. he'll sit infront of the filter arm then dart right at it with his nose/mouth or even rubs his face on it, no signs of a bacterial or fungal infection, and still brathes heavy sometimes and goes to the surface for air a lot more then he ever did. we tried treating with prazi pro and still with no results. other then the 2 or 3 small ich spots on his dorsal and pectoral fins, i have no idaea what could be wrong here. water quality is literaly perfect and hes in a 150-175 gal so he has enough room for now. any thoughts or opinions would help alot.
